The Enchanted Garden Game

Tommy loved baseball more than anything. Every day after school, he'd grab his glove and run to the park, dreaming of hitting a home run. But Tommy was small for his age, and the other kids always picked him last.

One sunny afternoon, Tommy wandered behind the old community center and discovered something magical — a secret garden he'd never noticed before. In the center grew the most unusual plants: enormous **spinach** leaves that shimmered like emeralds, and a tree with glowing **orange** fruits that pulsed like tiny hearts.

"Hello, young friend," said a voice. Tommy jumped! An elderly woman with silver hair and kind eyes emerged from behind the plants. "I'm Mrs. Greenleaf. This is my magical garden."

She invited Tommy to taste a spinach leaf and an orange from her tree. When he did, something extraordinary happened — he felt energy surging through him! Mrs. Greenleaf smiled and handed him a strange ball. "This isn't just any **baseball**," she whispered. "It's been enchanted by my garden. Use its power wisely."

The next day, Tommy joined the neighborhood game. When his turn came to bat, he remembered Mrs. Greenleaf's words: "The magic works only when you help others succeed." Instead of swinging for the fences, Tommy tapped the ball gently to help his teammate reach base. Then he did it again, and again.

"Why aren't you trying to hit a home run?" the other kids asked.

"Because helping my team win is better than showing off," Tommy smiled.

Something magical happened. The enchanted baseball began to glow, and suddenly Tommy could see exactly where each player should be. He guided his teammates, and they won their first game ever!

From that day, Tommy returned to Mrs. Greenleaf's garden, not to use magic, but to help tend the plants. He learned that real power comes from kindness, teamwork, and believing in others — the most important lessons of all.

And sometimes, when the sun hit the garden just right, the spinach leaves and oranges would shimmer, as if winking at their friend who had discovered that true magic isn't about being the best player. It's about being the best friend.
