The Dog Who Wore Starlight Hats

Lily was sitting on her front porch when something extraordinary happened. A fluffy golden dog trotted up the walkway, wearing the most magnificent hat she had ever seen — a purple cone covered in glittering stars that jingled with every step.

"Hello there!" Lily gasped. The dog's tail wagged so hard his whole body wiggled. He tapped his paw three times on the porch, then pointed his nose toward the backyard.

Curious, Lily followed. Behind her old oak tree, something impossible stood: a miniature pyramid no taller than her knees, glowing with soft blue light. The dog sat beside it and gently nudged a small compartment open.

Inside sat a single glowing orange gem. The dog barked twice, then used his nose to push it toward Lily.

"Is this... for me?" Lily whispered. As she touched the gem, warmth flooded through her fingers. A tiny voice floated from the pyramid's peak: 'This is a Star Vitamin — a dose of courage for those who need it most.'

Lily looked at the dog, who was watching her with kind, knowing eyes. She suddenly thought of Mrs. Chen next door, who hadn't left her house since her husband passed away.

"She needs this more than me," Lily said, and tucked the gem into her pocket. The dog did a happy spin, his starry hat twinkling.

Together, they brought the Star Vitamin to Mrs. Chen. When the old woman held the glowing gem, tears filled her eyes. She smiled for the first time in months.

That evening, Lily returned to find the pyramid had vanished. But the dog remained, and his hat — now slightly dimmer — still sparkled. He curled up beside her, and Lily knew she had found not just magic, but a true friend.

Sometimes the best vitamins aren't pills you swallow. They're the moments you share with others, spreading courage like starlight, one heart at a time.
