The Dog Who Solved the Sphinx's Riddle

Buddy was a golden retriever with a very special talent — he could play padel tennis better than anyone in the neighborhood. Every afternoon, his owner Tom would take him to the park, and Buddy would dash around the court, wagging his tail and hitting the ball with his nose. The other dogs would bark in amazement!

One sunny morning, Buddy was chasing a padel ball that had bounced over the fence into the old, mysterious garden behind the park. That's when he saw HER — a beautiful sphinx with the body of a lion and the wings of an eagle, resting on a stone pedestal.

"Hello, little dog," the sphinx said in a voice like sparkling wind chimes. "I am Cleo, and I have been waiting for someone like you for three thousand years."

Buddy's ears perked up. Cleo looked sad despite her magnificent appearance. "What's wrong?" Buddy asked, and to his surprise, the sphinx could understand him!

"Long ago," Cleo explained, "a wizard cast a spell on me. I must stay here until someone finds the magical golden vitamin hidden in this garden. Only then can I fly free again."

Buddy's nose twitched. He was good at finding things! He sniffed the air, catching a scent that smelled like sunshine and stardust. Following his nose, he dug beneath a rosebush until his paws hit something hard — a glowing golden pill!

"The magical vitamin!" Cleo gasped. As Buddy rolled it toward her with his nose, the sphinx swallowed it. Suddenly, her stone body began to shimmer like rainbow glitter. Her wings spread wide, and she soared into the sky!

"Thank you, Buddy!" Cleo called down, dropping something at his paws — a magical padel racket that would never miss. "Remember, true friends help each other, no matter how big or small they are!"

From that day on, Buddy and Cleo became the best of friends. Every evening, she would visit the park, and they would play the most magical padel games anyone had ever seen. Buddy learned that sometimes the most important adventures start with being kind — and that friendship is the best magic of all.
