The Dog Who Guarded the Magic Pool

Lily couldn't sleep. The full moon painted her bedroom silver, and something mysterious was glowing outside her window. She tiptoed downstairs, her golden retriever Buster padding silently beside her.

They emerged in a world where rainbow fish sang and coral castles rose from crystal sands. An ancient Dog King appeared and spoke: "Only those with pure hearts and faithful friends may enter our realm. Your Buster has been guardian of this portal for many human years."
