The Dog Who Could Fly

Max was a small golden dog with floppy ears and a big dream. Every day, he watched the children playing baseball in the park across the street. Their laughter filled the air like music, and Max's tail wagged so hard it almost knocked him over.

One sunny afternoon, a boy named Tommy hit a baseball so high it disappeared into the clouds. The other children gasped. Max's ears perked up. Without thinking, he started running—faster than he had ever run before. His paws barely touched the ground as he chased where the ball had vanished.

But Max didn't stop at the fence. He didn't stop at the trees. He kept running right up into the sky!

The wind rushed through his fur as magical sparkles appeared around his paws. Max was flying! Higher and higher he soared, until he spotted the baseball resting on a fluffy cloud kingdom.

A tiny cloud fairy named Pippin peeked out from behind the ball. "You found my treasure!" she squealed. "I've been waiting for someone special to share it with."

Max barked happily, and Pippin giggled. She sprinkled golden dust on his nose. "Now you can visit anytime, but you must always remember—the real magic is playing with friends."

Gently, Max carried the baseball back down, floating like a feather. Tommy and the other children watched in wonder as Max landed softly in the grass, dropping the ball at Tommy's feet.

From that day on, Max became the special mascot of every baseball game. Sometimes, when no one was watching, he would take little flying hops just for fun. But he learned that running with friends was even better than flying alone.

And every night, Max dreamed of clouds and baseballs, knowing that magic exists everywhere you believe—especially when you share it with friends.
