The Dog Who Chased Lightning
Sparky was no ordinary **dog**. While other dogs on Sunnybrook Farm chased sheep and napped in haystacks, Sparky chased storms. He loved the rumble of thunder and the flash of light across the sky.
One evening, old farmer Higgins gave Sparky something special—a shiny orange **vitamin** tablet. "This'll give you extra courage, little friend," Higgins said with a wink. Sparky swallowed it, and suddenly his fur tingled with magic.
That night, a sleek red **fox** appeared at the barn door. "I've been waiting for you," she whispered. "My name is Fern. Come with me—tonight the **lightning** opens the Secret Path!"
Sparky followed Fern through meadows and over hills until they reached a grassy clearing. Above them, stars swirled together to form a giant **bull** made of constellations. Its golden eyes twinkled down at them.
"The Star Bull guards the boundary between our world and the Land of Wonders," Fern explained. "But only during a lightning storm can we cross!"
CRACK! Purple lightning split the sky, striking the ground before them. A shimmering doorway appeared in its wake.
"Are you brave enough?" Fern asked, her tail twitching with excitement.
Sparky's heart pounded, but he remembered the vitamin. He remembered that true courage isn't about not being scared—it's about being scared and doing brave things anyway.
"Let's go!" Sparky barked.
Together, dog and fox leaped through the lightning doorway. They found a world where rivers flowed with lemonade, trees grew jellybeans, and clouds you could ride like swings. They played until dawn, when the Star Bull nodded and the doorway began to fade.
Back in the barn, Sparky curled up beside his new friend. He realized the real magic wasn't in any vitamin at all. The real magic was friendship, adventure, and being brave enough to chase your dreams—even when they flash across the sky like lightning.
From that night on, Sparky was still just a farm dog. But he was also something more—a dreamer who knew that every thunderstorm was really an invitation to dance.
