The Dog Who Charged the Stars
Lily loved her new iPhone. She played games and watched videos until the screen went dark. "Oh no!" she cried. "I need my cable!"
She ran to her room but couldn't find it anywhere. Then she heard a soft woof at the window.
A fluffy golden dog sat on her windowsill, holding a white cable in his mouth. But this wasn't just any dog — his fur sparkled like tiny stars.
"My name is Sparky," the dog said. "And I have something special to show you."
Lily's eyes went wide. "You can talk?"
"All magical dogs can talk," Sparky said with a wink. "Come with me!"
He led her outside, where the cable began to glow. It stretched longer and longer, reaching up into the night sky until it touched the stars.
"Wow!" Lily whispered.
"This is the Star Cable," Sparky explained. "It connects our world to the magical realm above. But the stars are growing dim. They need something special to shine bright again."
"What do they need?" Lily asked.
Sparky pulled a small bottle from his fluffy coat. "A star vitamin. It's made from kindness, bravery, and friendship. Will you help me give it to them?"
Lily nodded. "Yes!"
Together they climbed the glowing cable. Lily felt light as a feather. When they reached the first star, she sprinkled the vitamin dust. The star flared bright and beautiful!
"One down, many more to go," said Sparky.
They visited star after star. Each time, Lily learned something new. One star needed courage. Another needed hope. The biggest star needed love.
"You're doing wonderful," Sparky said. "The best vitamin for a star is a child's good heart."
Finally, all the stars twinkled brighter than ever before. Lily and Sparky slid down the cable, laughing all the way.
When Lily reached her room, she found her iPhone fully charged. Sparky handed her the cable.
"Remember," he said, "magic is everywhere. But the most powerful magic is inside you."
Lily hugged Sparky tight. "Will I ever see you again?"
"Whenever you need a friend," Sparky said, "just look at the stars and think of me."
Lily watched him bound away into the night. She smiled, feeling braver and kinder than before.
From that day on, Lily used her iPhone to spread kindness. She called her grandma, shared happy pictures, and learned new things. And every night, she whispered "thank you" to the stars — and to the magical dog who taught her that the best magic comes from a good heart.
