The Dancing Goldfish Spell
Lily loved her pet goldfish, Sparkle, more than anything. Sparkle had shimmering orange scales and loved to do loop-de-loops in her bowl. But one sunny afternoon, something magical happened.
Lily was dancing in her room, pretending to be a mermaid, when she accidentally knocked over a dusty bottle she'd found in Grandma's attic. Splash! Purple water spilled everywhere, and Sparkle's bowl began to glow.
Suddenly, Sparkle wasn't swimming normally anymore. She was doing the strangest dance—floating sideways, spinning in circles, wiggling her tail like a wobbly noodle.
"Oh no!" Lily gasped. "Sparkle's acting like a zombie fish!"
But then Sparkle spoke—in tiny, bubbly words: "Lily! This is the Zombie Dance! It's a magic spell that makes everything dance forever!"
Lily giggled as her stuffed bear started doing the robot, her books tap-danced off the shelf, and even her socks began cha-cha-ing across the floor. The magic water had turned her room into a non-stop dance party!
"How do we stop it?" Lily laughed, watching her pencil waltz with her eraser.
Sparkle swam to the surface. "Friendship is the key! You must dance WITH someone, not just watch them dance alone."
Lily understood. She'd been watching everyone dance at school but never joining because she was scared. She reached into the bowl (gently!) and swirled her finger around, creating a mini water tornado. Sparkle spun happily, and Lily started dancing too—twirling, jumping, spinning with all her heart.
As Lily danced with her magical room, the purple glow faded. Everything stopped dancing and went back to normal. Well, almost everything.
Sparkle gave a little flip of joy. "That was fun! Now you know—dancing with friends is always better than dancing alone."
From that day on, Lily always joined the dance at recess. And sometimes, when no one was looking, Sparkle would still do a little zombie wiggle just to make her smile.
The water in Sparkle's bowl sparkled extra bright, as if remembering the day friendship broke a magic spell and a shy girl found her courage through dance.
