The Crystal Pyramid in the Pool
Luna was a small golden dog with floppy ears and a very big imagination. Every night, she would gaze out her window at the moon, dreaming of adventures beyond her backyard. But Luna had a secret—one that made her different from all the other dogs on Maple Street.
On hot summer days, Luna would splash in her family's pool, a blue oval of cool water that sparkled like diamonds under the sun. Her best friend, a curious girl named Sophie, would laugh and swim alongside her. They were the perfect pair, always exploring together.
One magical evening, as the full moon rose high in the sky, Luna noticed something strange. The pool began to glow with a soft, silver light. The water swirled and transformed, rising up into the shape of a magnificent pyramid made entirely of crystal! Luna's heart raced with excitement.
Inside the crystal pyramid, Luna discovered a whole underwater kingdom filled with shimmering fish and playful dolphins. But the most amazing surprise was waiting at the center—a tiny mermaid girl who was trapped in a net of seaweed.
"Please help me!" the mermaid cried.
Luna didn't hesitate. With her strong teeth, she gnawed through the tangled seaweed until the mermaid was free.
"Thank you!" said the mermaid, whose name was Coral. "I was caught by the grumpy crab king because I tried to swim past his castle. I'm far from home."
Luna knew just what to do. She brought Sophie to the magical pyramid, and together they helped Coral find her way back to her family. Coral's parents were so grateful that they gave Luna and Sophie a special gift—magic shells that would let them visit the underwater kingdom whenever they wanted.
That night, Luna learned something important: being a true friend means helping others, even when it's scary. And the best adventures often happen when you least expect them.
