The Crystal Pyramid

Lily skipped along the edge of Silver Creek, her favorite spot in all the world. The sun danced on the rippling water, making it sparkle like diamonds. Today, something unusual caught her eye—a glimmering object half-buried in the mud.

She knelt down and carefully pulled it free. It was a tiny crystal pyramid, no bigger than her thumb, but it glowed with an inner light. As she held it up, the pyramid hummed in her palm.

Suddenly, a ripple appeared in the water beside her. A small face peeked out—a water sprite with eyes like polished sea glass and hair made of flowing river weeds.

"You found it!" the sprite chirped. "I'm Fin, and I've been searching everywhere!"

Lily's eyes widened. "I'm Lily. What is this pyramid?"

"It's the Water Keeper," Fin explained, climbing onto a smooth rock. "It purifies water for all the creatures who live here. Without it, the stream grows muddy and sad."

Lily understood immediately. This wasn't just a pretty treasure—it was important. She placed the pyramid back in the shallow water, and instantly, the muddy water around it began to clear. Tiny fish darted out from hiding, and dragonflies zoomed overhead.

"Thank you, Lily," Fin said, smiling. "Would you like to see something magical?"

The pyramid spun, and the water above it formed into rainbow-colored fountains. Butterflies made of droplets fluttered around them. Lily laughed in delight.

"Can I come visit?" she asked.

"Anytime," Fin promised. "Now we're friends forever."

Lily ran home, her heart full of wonder. She had found a treasure worth more than gold—the magic of friendship and the joy of helping others. From that day on, every trip to Silver Creek brought new adventures, but the best gift was knowing that somewhere, in the dancing water, a friend was waiting.
