The Cloud Vitamins

Lily was the quietest girl in her class, with brown **hair** that always fell over her eyes when she tried to speak. Every day at recess, she sat alone under the oak tree, wishing she had the courage to say hello.

One morning, something extraordinary happened. A tiny glass bottle tumbled from the sky and landed in her garden. Lily picked it up, and the label sparkled with golden letters: CLOUD **VITAMIN**S — One per day for magical adventures!

Her heart racing, Lily swallowed one tiny pill that looked like a piece of captured sunset. Instantly, she felt light — lighter than air! Her **hair** began to float, each strand lifting upward as if it wanted to touch the clouds. Her toes left the ground, and suddenly, she was rising!

Up she floated, past the treetops, past birds' nests, until she reached a fluffy world above. There, sitting on a cloud, was the most peculiar boy she had ever seen. He had silver skin and eyes the color of a summer sky.

"You found my bottle!" he exclaimed, bouncing toward her on his cloud. "I'm Nimbus. Those vitamins were supposed to help me practice cloud-sculpting, but I dropped them!"

Nimbus showed Lily how to twist clouds into rabbits, castles, and dragons with just her fingertips. They laughed so hard that it started to rain — happy rain that tasted like cotton candy.

"Will you be my **friend**?" Nimbus asked as the sun began to set. "I've been lonely up here."

"Yes!" Lily beamed, her **hair** still floating softly around her face. "Every day after school!"

And every day, Lily swallowed one cloud **vitamin** and soared upward to visit Nimbus. But something wonderful happened — the more time she spent with her cloud friend, the braver she became on the ground too.

One day, she realized she hadn't taken a vitamin in a week. Her **hair** no longer floated, but it didn't matter anymore. She walked straight up to a girl at recess and said, "Want to play tag?"

Lily learned that sometimes, magic doesn't come from pills or potions. The real magic had been inside her all along — just waiting for a **friend** to help her find it.
