The Cloud That Forgot How to Rain
Leo loved lying on the grass, watching the clouds drift across the summer sky. His favorite cloud was a puffy white one that looked like a sleeping cat. But today, something strange happened. The cloud-cat tumbled down from the sky and landed right beside Leo with a gentle *poof*!
"Hello!" said the cloud, whose name was Zom. "I'm a zombie cloud!" Leo gasped and stepped back. "Don't worry," Zom giggled, floating like cotton candy. "Zombie just means I get to start fresh every day. Yesterday I was a thunder cloud, but today I'm new again!"
Leo smiled. His grandma had told him stories about magical clouds, but he'd never met one before. "Why are you here?"
"I need your help," Zom said sadly. "I forgot how to make rain. All the other clouds are bringing water to the thirsty gardens, but I just float around, empty and dry."
Leo grabbed his sneakers. "I know just the place!" he said, running toward the enchanted spring behind the old oak tree. Zom floated beside him, leaving a cool trail on Leo's cheeks. "The Spring of Remembering," Leo panted. "My friend Luna showed me last summer. She said it helps anyone who's forgotten something important."
The spring sparkled with tiny lights, like stars trapped in water. Zom dipped lower, touching the surface. Suddenly, the cloud began to glow silver-blue, and beautiful memories swirled around them — raindrops dancing on flowers, children splashing in puddles, gardens drinking deep.
"I remember!" Zom shouted joyfully. The cloud rose into the sky, turning dark and wonderful, and then — rain! Gentle, sweet rain fell on Leo's upturned face.
"Thank you, Leo!" Zom called from above. "You're the best friend ever!"
That night, Leo fell asleep smiling. Sometimes the most wonderful adventures come from the most unexpected friendships. And somewhere above, a small cloud rained tiny dreams onto the world, never to forget again.
