The Cloud's Secret Gift

Lily loved nothing more than lying on the grass watching the clouds drift by. One hot summer afternoon, she noticed something peculiar—a tiny fluffy cloud that seemed to be following her, dipping lower and lower as if trying to say hello.

"Hello there, little cloud," Lily called out, waving her hand.

To her amazement, the cloud responded! It swirled and sparkled, suddenly transforming into a small, glowing girl with hair like wispy cotton candy. "I'm Nimbus! I've been looking for a friend."

Nimbus explained that she was a cloud spirit who had lost her way. She needed to return to the sky before sunset, or she'd fade away like morning mist. Lily knew just what to do.

"My grandpa showed me the old water tower on the hill. From there, you can almost touch the clouds!" Lily said, already running toward the path.

Nimbus floated beside her, leaving tiny droplets of **water** that made flowers spring up instantly wherever they touched the ground.

As they climbed higher, storm clouds gathered. Suddenly, a bolt of **lightning** crackled across the sky—not scary, but beautiful, like silver ribbons dancing through the air.

"Perfect!" Nimbus cheered. "Lightning carries sky magic—the most powerful **vitamin** that clouds need to stay strong and shiny!"

Nimbus flew into the storm clouds, drinking in the lightning's energy until she glowed brighter than a star. She swooped back down, now full-sized and magnificent.

"Thank you, Lily! You were the best friend a cloud could ever ask for." Nimbus sprinkled magical rain that made the whole garden bloom in brilliant colors.

Every rainy day after that, Lily would look up at the clouds and wave, knowing somewhere up there, her friend was dancing with lightning and sending down gifts of water to make the world beautiful.

And whenever anyone asked why she loved rainy days, Lily would smile and say, "Because the sky is giving us presents, of course!"
