The Cloud Bull's Starry Game

Lily discovered something magical in her grandfather's attic—a silver device that looked like an old iphone, but it glowed with rainbow colors when she touched it.

"What are you?" she whispered, tracing the screen with her finger.

Suddenly, the device projected a shimmering staircase into the clouds. Lily's heart raced as she climbed higher and higher until she reached a field made entirely of fluffy white clouds. There, standing proudly, was the most magnificent creature she had ever seen—a giant bull with silver fur and horns that sparkled like diamonds.

"Welcome!" the bull boomed gently. "I'm Barnaby, and you've just in time for the big game!"

Lily's eyes widened. A baseball made of pure starlight rolled toward her feet. "Baseball? In the clouds?"

Barnaby laughed, and the sound rumbled like distant thunder. "Not just any baseball! We play with starballs, and when we hit them, they become new stars in the night sky!"

Lily gripped the starball and swung with all her might. CRACK! The ball soared through the sky, leaving a trail of glittering light.

Suddenly, dark clouds gathered. Lightning flashed across the sky—not scary lightning, but beautiful purple and pink bolts that danced like ribbons.

"Oh no!" Barnaby worried. "The lightning always means the Sky Keeper is hungry!"

Lily remembered the papaya in her pocket—she'd brought it from breakfast. "Will this help?"

Barnaby's eyes widened. "A moon papaya! The perfect treat!"

Lily tossed the fruit, and as the Sky Keeper caught it, the storm cleared instantly. In its place, a hundred new stars twinkled—each one from Lily's perfect hit.

"Thank you, Lily!" Barnaby nuzzled her hand. "You're the best player ever!"

As she slid back down the rainbow staircase, the magical device buzzed one last time: See you next game! And that night, whenever Lily looked up at the stars, she always found the brightest one—the star she'd made with her new friend in the clouds.
