The Cloud Bull's Secret

Lily lived where the sun burned hot and the earth cracked like old pottery. She walked two miles every morning to the village well, her favorite ceramic jug bumping against her leg. The well was almost empty.

One afternoon, while resting under the shade of a lone acacia tree, Lily noticed something strange. A fluffy white cloud shaped exactly like a bull floated overhead—horns curved gracefully, tail swishing in the sky breeze. The cloud bull dipped lower than any cloud should.

"Hello," Lily whispered, not sure if clouds could hear.

The cloud bull shimmered and sparkled, drifting down until it touched the parched ground. Where its hooves landed, drops of water appeared. Lily gasped as the bull nuzzled her hand with a cool, misty nose.

"Follow," the bull seemed to say, though it made no sound.

Lily followed the magical cloud bull behind hills she'd never explored before. The air grew cooler as they walked. The bull paused frequently, leaving small puddles that instantly bloomed with tiny flowers.

Finally, they reached a hidden canyon completely shaded from the sun. Crystal-clear water pooled in rock basins, fed by underground springs. It was the most beautiful thing Lily had ever seen.

"This water belongs to everyone," the bull seemed to communicate. "But only those with kind hearts may find it."

Lily understood. The bull was showing her this secret so she could help her village. She raced back home, her heart full of wonder, and led the villagers to the hidden springs.

That night, Lily looked up at the stars. The cloud bull was gone, but in its place shone the constellation Taurus, brighter than she'd ever seen it. The bull hadn't just been a cloud—it had been magic sent to help those who needed it most.

From that day on, Lily always carried extra water to share, and she never looked at clouds the same way again. Somewhere up there, she knew, her friend was watching over her.
