The Cloud Bull's Magical Game
Lily loved spending time in her grandfather's backyard, especially on warm summer afternoons. One day, while practicing her baseball swing, she noticed something strange. Her baseball suddenly grew a pair of wings and started flying in circles around the old oak tree.
"That's impossible!" she whispered, following the flying baseball as it led her toward the pond behind the barn.
There, swimming gracefully through the air as if it were water, was a beautiful goldfish with scales that shimmered like tiny stars. The goldfish bobbed its head and gestured with its fins for Lily to follow.
"Where are we going?" Lily asked, curious and excited.
The goldfish led her to a nearby field where the most extraordinary creature waited—a massive bull made entirely of fluffy white clouds! His eyes were gentle blue pools, and his horns were shaped like crescent moons.
"Hello, little one," the Cloud Bull rumbled softly. "I've been waiting for someone who believes in magic."
Lily's eyes widened. "You can talk?"
"Many things can talk when you truly listen," the bull replied. "I guard this field where imagination becomes real. But I'm lonely. No one comes here anymore because they're too busy with their phones and tablets."
The flying baseball suddenly landed in Lily's glove. She understood what the bull needed. "Would you like to play baseball?"
The Cloud Bull's face lit up. "I've always wanted to learn!"
Lily spent the afternoon teaching the gentle bull how to bat and catch. The goldfish umpired the games, swimming through the air and calling fair and foul. The baseballs kept growing wings and flying everywhere, making the game even more magical.
By sunset, Lily was exhausted but happy. She promised to visit every day, and soon other children from the neighborhood joined their wonderful games. They learned that the best kind of running wasn't away from problems, but toward friendship and adventure.
The Cloud Bull was never lonely again, and the children discovered that magic was real—it just needed someone to believe in it.
