The Cloud Bull's Magic Pond
Lily loved visiting her grandmother's farm. Every summer, she'd help feed the chickens and collect eggs. But one hot afternoon, while exploring near the old pond, she spotted something extraordinary.
A magnificent bull was drinking from the water — but this wasn't any ordinary bull. His fur was fluffy like clouds, and his horns shimmered like rainbows! Lily held her breath, afraid he'd run away. Instead, the cloud bull raised his head and spoke.
"Hello, little one," he said gently. "I'm Breeze, the guardian of magical wishes."
Lily's brown hair stood on end with excitement! She'd never met a talking animal before.
"I was playing with my favorite toy," Lily explained, pulling a plastic zombie from her pocket. "I dropped him somewhere, and I can't find him. Zombunny was a gift from my grandpa before he moved away."
Breeze smiled wisely. "The water shows us what we've lost, but only the pure of heart can retrieve it."
He lowered his rainbow horn toward the pond. The water began to glow with sparkles.
Lily looked into the magical water and gasped. She saw Zombunny lying in tall grass near the old apple tree! But she also saw something else — her dad's lost iphone, which had been missing for weeks!
"Can I get both?" Lily asked eagerly.
"True friendship helps others first," Breeze said. "What would you choose?"
Lily thought carefully. "My dad needs his phone for work. He's been so sad without it. Zombunny can wait a little longer."
Breeze nodded, and the water swirled. The iphone rose from the depths, dry and perfect!
"Because you chose kindness," Breeze said, "magic rewards you."
Suddenly, Zombunny hopped out of the grass and into Lily's hands!
"Thank you, Breeze!" Lily hugged the cloud bull, which felt like a warm, fluffy blanket.
"Remember, Lily," Breeze whispered, fading into mist, "kindness is the greatest magic of all."
That night, Lily showed her dad his phone. He cried happy tears and hugged her tight. And Lily smiled, knowing that sometimes the best adventures come from helping others first.
