The Cloud Bull's Magic Gift

Summer afternoons at the community pool meant one thing for seven-year-old Maya: sitting on the edge while her friends splashed in the deep end. Her fear of deep water kept her stuck in the shallow end, feeling small and embarrassed.

One cloudy afternoon, Maya noticed something strange in the sky above the pool. A magnificent bull was galloping through the clouds, its shaggy hair streaked with brilliant lightning bolts that crackled and shimmered. It wasn't scary at all - it looked friendly and magical.

The Cloud Bull dipped down until it hovered right in front of Maya. Its deep brown eyes twinkled like stars.

"I've been watching you," said the bull in a voice like distant thunder. "You want to swim with your friends, but fear holds you back."

Maya nodded, her heart racing. "I'm afraid of what's under the dark water."

The Cloud Bull's lightning hair crackled softly as it smiled. "Fear is natural, but courage is what you need. Take this - it's a special thunder vitamin."

The bull tossed Maya a small, glowing blue tablet that sparkled like captured lightning.

"Swallow this before you try the deep end," it said. "It will give you the courage of a thousand storms."

Maya hesitated, then swallowed the vitamin. Instantly, she felt a warm, tingling sensation spread through her body - like tiny lightning bolts filling her with energy and bravery.

"I can do this!" Maya cried.

She ran to the diving board, leaped into the air, and splashed into the deep water. Instead of panic, she felt strong and free. She swam all the way to the other side, her friends cheering wildly.

When she surfaced, the Cloud Bull winked from above. Its lightning hair flared brilliantly as it galloped back into the clouds.

Maya learned that day that sometimes courage comes from the most unexpected places - even from magical cloud bulls with lightning-streaked hair. But mostly, she discovered that the bravery she needed was inside her all along.
