Lily discovered something strange about her cat Muffin one summer evening. While sitting by the backyard pool, she noticed Muffin's fur glowing softly, like tiny stars trapped in her hair. The cat pawed at an old cable lying near the garden fence, then looked at Lily with wise, golden eyes.
