The Cat Who Was a Spy

Max was a small orange cat with very big ears. Every night, while his family slept, Max became a spy. He would creep through the house, looking for mysteries to solve and adventures to find.

One moonlit night, Max heard a strange sound from the garden. "Clomp, clomp, drag." His ears perked up. A mystery!

Max slipped out the cat flap and followed the sounds to the old barn at the edge of the farm. There, he saw something surprising - a big brown bull named Barnaby, and beside him... a zombie!

But this zombie wasn't scary at all. Her skin was green and her stitches showed, but she was sitting peacefully in the hay, reading a book by lantern light.

"Barnaby!" the zombie said sadly. "Why won't anyone play with me? They all run away when they see me."

The bull nudged her gently with his soft nose. "They don't know you like I do, Zee. You're the kindest friend I've ever had."

Max's cat heart melted. He realized that being a spy meant finding the truth - and the truth was that Zee was wonderful, not scary!

The next day, Max had a brilliant plan. He gathered all the farm animals and led them to the barn. "Come see something amazing!" he meowed excitedly.

When they saw Zee, some chickens gasped. But then Zee handed out beautiful flowers she had made from recycled paper and garden seeds. "These are for you," she said shyly.

The animals were amazed! Soon Zee was teaching everyone how to make seed paper. Even the grumpy old rooster crowed with delight.

That night, Max watched from the barn roof as all the animals played together. Barnaby the bull gave Zee a gentle hug, and Max purred with happiness. Sometimes the best spy missions aren't about secrets - they're about discovering that friends can come in the most unexpected packages.
