The Cat Who Spooked the Zombie

Whiskers was no ordinary cat. Every night at midnight, when the moon hung like a glowing silver coin in the sky, Whiskers would tiptoe to the garden fence and meet her best friend, Barnaby the dog. Together, they were the bravest spy team in the neighborhood.

One spooky Halloween night, something strange glowed near the old oak tree. Whiskers crept closer, her green eyes wide with wonder. There, half-buried in autumn leaves, lay a shiny iPhone that sparkled like captured starlight.

"Look!" whispered Barnaby, his tail wagging excitedly. "It's still working!"

The screen flickered to life, showing not apps or games, but a secret map of their neighborhood. Little dots moved across it—magical creatures only Whiskers and Barnaby could see. The iPhone was magical!

Following the glowing path, they discovered something that made Whiskers' fur stand straight up. A zombie! But this zombie wasn't like the scary ones in movies. He was small, with patches of colorful clothes and a friendly, slightly confused smile.

"Hello?" the zombie said shyly. "I'm Zim. I've been wandering this garden for 100 years, looking for friends. Everyone runs away when they see me."

Whiskers noticed Zim was actually quite kind. He helped a fallen butterfly back onto a flower and gently moved aside so a family of field mice could pass.

"We're not scared of you," Whiskers said bravely, stepping forward. "I'm Whiskers, and this is Barnaby. We're spies, and we spy friends, not monsters."

Zim's eyes sparkled with tears of joy. No one had ever been so kind to him before. That night, Whiskers, Barnaby, and Zim played together until dawn. The magical iPhone had led them to the greatest treasure of all—not gold or jewels, but a new friend.

From then on, the three of them had midnight adventures every night. And Whiskers learned that sometimes, the scariest-looking things are just the loneliest—and that kindness is the bravest magic of all.
