The Cat Who Saved the Zombie Garden
On the softest pawsteps, Mittens the cat crept through her garden at midnight. The moon painted silver stripes on her orange fur, and her green eyes shone like tiny lanterns.
Tonight, the garden felt different. Magical. Strange.
Behind the old oak tree, Mittens discovered something extraordinary. Wilted sunflowers were slowly standing up straight! Droopy daisies were stretching their petals! The plants looked like sleepy zombie flowers waking up for a midnight party.
Mittens' tail twitched with excitement. She crouched low to watch.
Suddenly, a deep rumble shook the ground. CRUNCH. SNAP. From the shadows stepped a magnificent bull made entirely of starlight! His horns glowed like crescent moons, and his hooves left sparkling prints wherever he walked.
The star bull lowered his massive head to the garden's ancient water fountain. But the fountain was dry! No water could be seen, only cracked stone and fallen leaves.
The zombie flowers drooped sadly. Even the star bull's glowing dimmed. Without magical water, the midnight garden would fade away forever.
Mittens knew what to do! She remembered the secret spring behind Grandma's cottage. With determined purrs, she led the star bull through the moonlit forest. Together, they found the hidden spring bubbling with crystal water.
Carefully, the star bull filled his magical hollow horn with water. Back at the garden, he poured it into the fountain. SPARKLE. SHIMMER.
The water danced with rainbow colors! The zombie flowers drank deeply and burst into vibrant blooms. Petals of gold, silver, and ruby opened wide.
The star bull nuzzled Mittens' forehead, leaving a star-shaped mark that never faded. Every midnight after that, Mittens returned to dance with her zombie flower friends and the magical star bull.
And that's how Mittens the cat learned that even the most wilted things can bloom again with a little magic, friendship, and courage.
