The Cat Who Saved the Day
Whiskers was not an ordinary cat. While other cats slept in sunny spots, Whiskers had an important job — she was a spy! Every morning, the fluffy orange cat would creep through the garden fence and watch the children at the pool.
The children were learning to play padel, a fun game with rackets and a ball. Whiskers loved to hide behind the big flowerpot and peek at them laughing and hitting the ball back and forth. Sometimes they'd play swimming races in the pool, splashing and giggling.
One hot afternoon, Whiskers noticed something strange. A little duckling had fallen into the pool and couldn't get out! The duckling's mother was quacking worriedly by the edge, but none of the children were there to help.
Whiskers knew what to do. She rushed to find the padel instructor, a kind lady named Ms. Green. Whiskers tugged at her shorts and meowed loudly, then ran back to the pool.
"What is it, Whiskers?" Ms. Green followed the cat to the pool. She spotted the duckling immediately and used the padel racket to gently scoop the little bird out of the water. The duckling waddled happily to its mother, and Ms. Green gave Whiskers a special treat.
From that day on, Whiskers wasn't just a spy anymore. The children called her their "Pool Guard Cat." They even made her a special badge. Whiskers learned that being helpful was much better than just watching — and the children learned that even the smallest friends can make the biggest difference.
Now whenever Whiskers spies by the pool, she's not just watching. She's making sure everyone stays safe, because that's what real friends do.
