The Cat Who Saved Halloween

catzombierunning

On Halloween night, when pumpkins glowed and autumn leaves danced in the chilly breeze, a small black cat named Midnight trotted through the neighborhood. She wasn't an ordinary cat—Midnight had magical emerald eyes that sparkled like stars, and she could sense when someone needed help.

As Midnight was running along the old fence near the spooky forest, she heard a sad sound. It wasn't a scary sound like the ghostly howls everyone expected on Halloween. It was sniffles.

Curious and brave, Midnight followed the sound to a graveyard where she saw something surprising—a zombie sitting on a pumpkin, crying!

The zombie looked funny, not scary. His clothes were colorful and patched, his hair stuck up in silly directions, and he wore rainbow socks. Midnight approached slowly, her tail high like a friendly flag.

"Why are you crying?" Midnight meowed in the special way animals speak to magical creatures.

The zombie looked up with surprised eyes. "Nobody wants to trick-or-treat with me. Everyone thinks I'm too scary."

Midnight rubbed against his leg, purring loudly. "You're not scary—you're colorful! What's your name?"

"Ziggy," the zombie smiled, showing teeth that weren't sharp at all, but rather crooked and friendly.

"I'm Midnight! Want to come trick-or-treating with me?"

Ziggy's eyes widened. "Really? But..."

"But nothing! Being different is what makes you special. That's what makes Halloween magical—everyone gets to be exactly who they are."

Together, Midnight and Ziggy went door to door. Midnight would meow cutely, and Ziggy would do a funny dance that made everyone laugh instead of scream. They collected so much candy that Ziggy's pockets were overflowing.

By midnight, Ziggy wasn't sad anymore. He had made friends, learned that being different was wonderful, and discovered that sometimes the scariest-looking things are actually the kindest.

Midnight purred as they walked home under the full moon. Halloween wasn't about being scared—it was about being brave, being kind, and finding friends in the most unexpected places.

And that's how a brave black cat saved Halloween, one friendship at a time.
