The Cat Who Knew the Secret
Lily was playing games on her iphone when something strange happened. The screen began to glow with golden light, and a mysterious map appeared on it. The map showed a path through her backyard, ending at a shimmering pyramid that she had never seen before.
Her orange cat, Mango, suddenly jumped onto the table and meowed loudly. His green eyes were fixed on the iphone screen. Mango had always been a special cat — he seemed to understand everything Lily said, and now he was trying to tell her something important.
Following Mango's lead, Lily grabbed her favorite padel racket from the garage. She had been practicing for weeks, getting ready for the big tournament next week. But somehow, she knew this wasn't about tennis anymore.
The cat led her through the garden, past the rose bushes, until they reached the old oak tree at the very back of the yard. There, shimmering like a mirage, stood a small pyramid made of crystal and light. It was only as tall as Lily, but it pulsed with magical energy.
Mango nudged Lily's hand with his soft head, and she understood. The padel racket wasn't just a racket anymore — it was a key. Lily touched the crystal surface of the pyramid with her racket, and suddenly, she and Mango were inside a magical chamber filled with floating books and dancing stars.
An old wizard appeared and smiled. "You found the Pyramid of Imagination," he said. "Only those with a pure heart and an adventurous spirit can enter. Your cat knew you were ready."
Lily realized that the iphone had shown her the way because she had been using it to play and explore, not just to stare at it mindlessly. The magic had been waiting for someone who knew how to wonder.
When they returned home, Lily put down her iphone and picked up a book instead. Mango curled up beside her, purring happily. Some secrets, Lily discovered, are more wonderful than any screen could ever show.
