The Cat Who Kicked Moonbeams

Luna was no ordinary cat. She had fur like midnight sprinkled with stardust, and when she purred, it sounded like tiny bells ringing.

One rainy afternoon, Luna's best friend Toby discovered something strange behind the old bookshelf. A thick golden cable pulsed with a warm, glowing light, curving up toward the ceiling like a magical vine.

"What is it?" Toby whispered, reaching out.

Luna batted his hand away gently, then pressed her paw against the cable. Suddenly, a beam of moonlight shot out, whisking them both through the ceiling and into a sky meadow above the clouds.

There, grazing on rainbows, stood the most enormous bull anyone had ever seen. But this wasn't a scary bull—his coat was painted in swirls of sunset colors, and his eyes twinkled like friendly campfires.

"Welcome!" boomed the bull, whose name was Bumble. "I've been waiting for someone to play padel with me!"

Bumble handed Toby a racquet made from a fallen star, while Luna used her paws. They played the most magnificent game, hitting balls of pure happiness back and forth across a net made from spider silk woven by cloud spiders.

"Why are you so sad, Bumble?" Luna asked suddenly, her whiskers twitching with cat-sense.

Bumble sighed, and a small raincloud formed over his head. "I've forgotten how to dream. Without dreams, I can't paint the sunsets anymore."

Toby remembered something important. His grandmother had given him a special bottle labeled "Dream Vitamin." It sparkled with every color imaginable.

"This might help!" said Toby, uncorking the bottle. One drop of the shimmering liquid onto Bumble's tongue made his eyes go wide with wonder.

Suddenly, Bumble began to dream out loud—images of castles made of cotton candy, rivers flowing with grape soda, and mountains of ice cream floated around them. The more he dreamed, the brighter his colors became.

"Thank you," Bumble rumbled happily. "You've reminded me that friendship is the best vitamin of all."

When Luna and Toby returned through the golden cable, they found colorful paw prints on their floor—the kind that only appear when magic has visited.

From that day on, whenever Luna curled up to sleep, she dreamed of cloud meadows, rainbow-grazing bulls, and the magical truth: the best adventures always lead back to friendship.
