The Cat Who Dreamed of Stars
Mia loved gazing at the night sky from her bedroom window, but her cat Cleo had other plans. Every evening, the orange tabby would dart across the room, running in circles as if chasing invisible butterflies.
"Cleo, what are you doing?" Mia giggled.
One magical night, Cleo led Mia through a moonlit forest to a clearing she'd never seen before. There, glowing softly in the starlight, stood a tiny pyramid no taller than Mia's knees. Its crystal surface shimmered like captured stardust.
As Mia approached, the pyramid's walls unfolded like flower petals. Inside sat a small sphinx with emerald eyes and wings the color of twilight.
"I've been waiting for you," the sphinx said, her voice like wind chimes. "I am Sparkle, guardian of the Dream Pyramid. But I have forgotten how to dream."
Mia's heart squeezed with sympathy. "Cleo and I will help you!"
"First," Sparkle said, "you must solve my riddle: What has to be broken before you can use it?"
Mia thought hard. Then she smiled. "An egg!"
Sparkle's wings fluttered. "Correct! Now, let us run together through the meadows of imagination!"
And so they ran—Mia, Cleo, and Sparkle—racing across clouds made of cotton candy, sliding down rainbows, and splashing through puddles that reflected entire galaxies. The faster they ran, the more Sparkle remembered: dreams of flying with dragons, dancing with stars, and painting with moonbeams.
"I remember now!" Sparkle cried, her eyes glowing brighter. "Dreams live in friendship and play!"
The pyramid began to fade, but Sparkle pressed something into Mia's palm—a tiny crystal pyramid on a silver chain.
"Whenever you need to dream," Sparkle whispered, "hold this close and remember: true magic happens when you share adventures with friends."
Back in her room, Mia cuddled Cleo, who purred contentedly. The crystal pyramid around Mia's neck glowed softly, and she knew that every dream begins with a single step—or sometimes, with a cat running through the moonlight.
