The Cat Who Discovered the Golden Pyramid
Oliver was a curious orange tabby cat with the softest fur in all of Meadowbrook. Every morning, he would sit by the window watching the world wake up, his golden eyes sparkling with wonder.
One sunny afternoon, Oliver was running through the tall grass behind his house when he spotted something strange shimmering beside the babbling brook. It was a tiny pyramid, no bigger than his paw, glowing with a warm orange light that seemed to dance in the sunlight.
"What are you?" Oliver meowed, tapping the pyramid with his nose.
Suddenly, the pyramid began to grow! It stretched taller and wider until it became a magnificent golden palace. Water from the brook swirled around it, creating rainbows in the mist.
A small door opened, and out stepped a tiny dragon named Sparkle, scales glimmering like liquid sunset.
"You've found the Pyramid of Wishes!" Sparkle squeaked happily. "Once every hundred years, a pure-hearted cat discovers it. You may make one wish for someone else."
Oliver thought carefully. He didn't wish for more cat treats or a softer bed. Instead, he said, "I wish that Lily, the little girl who lives alone next door, would find a forever friend."
Sparkle's eyes twinkled. "A selfless wish! The most powerful kind."
The pyramid pulsed with brilliant orange light. Water droplets floated into the air, forming the shape of a heart. Then, suddenly, the doorbell rang at the orphanage down the street.
That very day, Lily was adopted by a kind family who had just moved in—and they had a baby kitten who needed a big sister.
Oliver watched from the window, purring so loudly his whole body vibrated. Sometimes the best magic isn't about getting what you want. It's about helping others find what they need.
The tiny pyramid disappeared, but Oliver kept its glow in his heart. And every night, he dreamed of orange light, flowing water, and all the wishes still waiting to come true.
