The Cat Who Danced with Waves
Luna was a small orange cat who lived by the sea. Every morning, she sat on the rocks, watching the waves crash against the shore. The other cats laughed at her.
"Cats don't like water!" they said. "Go chase mice like a normal cat!"
But Luna dreamed of swimming. She wanted to know what the ocean felt like. One day, she saw something magical — a great blue bull rising from the waves! His horns were made of coral, and his eyes shone like pearls.
"I am Oceanus," the bull said. "I saw you watching the water every day. Why don't you come in?"
"I'm scared," Luna admitted. "Cats aren't supposed to swim."
Oceanus smiled. "The ocean welcomes everyone who is brave enough to try. Running away from your fears only makes them bigger."
Luna's heart pounded. She dipped one paw in the water. It was cool and refreshing. She dipped another. Then, with a deep breath, she jumped in!
To her surprise, she could swim! The water lifted her gently, like a mother carrying her kitten. Oceanus swam beside her, and they played in the waves all afternoon.
When Luna returned to shore, her fur was wet but her heart was full. The other cats gathered around in amazement.
"You swam!" they gasped.
Luna looked at them with wise eyes. "Sometimes the things we fear most become our greatest adventures. You just have to be brave enough to try."
From that day on, Luna was known as the Cat Who Loved Water. And every sunset, she and Oceanus would swim together, teaching all the creatures that courage comes in all sizes — even in a small orange cat who dared to dream big dreams.
