The Cat Who Danced With Lightning
Mia loved her backyard pool, but she had no friends to swim with. Every summer day, she'd slide into the cool blue water alone, wishing for someone to share her underwater adventures.

"This is the Lightning Pool," the cat spoke in a voice like tinkling bells. "It appears only during storms, granting one wish to pure hearts."
Mia's eyes widened. She could wish for anything! A million friends? A magic kingdom? Eternal summer?
But then another lightning flash revealed something—a tiny kitten, trapped in the mud nearby, mewing for help.
Mia didn't hesitate. She forgot the magical wish and rushed to save the little kitten, pulling it free just as more lightning struck. The orange cat purred with approval.
When Mia turned back, the Lightning Pool had vanished. But she didn't mind. She'd found something better—a new friend who needed her.
The magical cat visited often after that, bringing gifts of wonder: glowing flowers that bloomed at midnight, leaves that turned into butterfly wings, and once, a single lightning bolt in a jar that powered her nightlight for years.
