The Cat Who Could Talk to Phones

Luna was no ordinary cat. She had shimmering silver fur and the most curious amber eyes that seemed to see right through walls. But what made her truly special was her secret – she could understand human technology.

One hot summer afternoon, Luna's best friend Emma was swimming in the pond behind their house. The water sparkled like diamonds under the golden sun. Emma laughed as she splashed around, her iphone sitting safely on a rock at the water's edge.

Suddenly, a massive black bull appeared at the fence! The farmer's bull had escaped and was thundering toward the pond, its hooves shaking the ground. Emma was too far out in the water to hear the rumble.

Luna's iphone on the rock began to buzz. 'Emma! Look out!' the phone seemed to cry, though Emma couldn't hear it. Luna knew she had to act fast.

The brave little cat sprinted across the grass and pounced right onto the iphone's screen, hitting the emergency button. 'Dialing Dad,' the phone announced in its robotic voice.

'Emma! Get out! There's a bull coming!' her dad's voice rang out through the phone's speaker, loud enough for Emma to hear over the splashing.

Emma swam to shore just as the bull reached the fence. Her dad arrived moments later, and the farmer soon came to lead his bull safely home.

'How did you know?' Emma asked, amazed.

Luna purred and rubbed against the phone. Emma laughed and hugged her wet, wonderful cat. 'You really are the smartest cat in the world.'

From that day on, Luna and Emma shared a magical secret. Whenever Emma went swimming, Luna kept watch over her iphone, ready to protect her best friend in any way she could.
