The Cat Who Chased Lightning
Mittens was no ordinary cat. She had orange fur that glowed like sunset and green eyes that sparkled with mischief. Every afternoon, she watched the children play padel on the court behind her house. The ball went *thwack-thwack-thwack* against the glass walls, and Mittens would twitch her tail, dreaming of joining the game.
One rainy afternoon, something magical happened. A bolt of lightning flashed purple and pink across the sky, and suddenly, a creature appeared—a tiny bull no bigger than a kitten, with shimmering silver horns and a coat that sparkled like stardust. The Lightning Bull, as he called himself, had fallen from the storm cloud above.
"I'm lost," the bull mooed sadly. "And I'm hungry."
Mittens knew exactly what to do. She led the Lightning Bull to her secret spot behind the kitchen where Mama kept the ripest, sweetest papaya. The bull's eyes widened as he took a bite. The papaya's magic was strong—it made ordinary things glow and ordinary creatures extraordinary.
"Play padel with me," the bull said, his silver horns twinkling. "The papaya gave me magic!"
And so they played—cat and bull, thwacking a magical papaya seed across the padel court. Every time the seed hit the wall, it burst into tiny sparks of light like miniature lightning bolts. The storm clouds above cleared to watch, fascinated by this unlikely friendship.
When the children came out the next morning, they found the padel court covered in glittery sparks and a perfectly ripe papaya in the center. And somewhere in the clouds above, a Lightning Bull and a brave cat still play their magical game, reminding everyone that the best friends come in the most unexpected shapes and sizes.
Moral: Friendship and kindness can bridge any difference, no matter how big or small.
