The Cat Who Caught Lightning

Mia loved playing padel with her dad, but she always missed the ball. "Try again tomorrow," he'd say with a smile, but Mia felt like she'd never get better.

One evening, as lightning crackled across the dark sky, Mia spotted something strange in the garden. A tiny gray cat sat on the fence, staring at the storm. But this wasn't ordinary lightning — the bolts were dancing around the cat like glowing ribbons!

The cat leaped gracefully, its paws shimmering with electricity as it caught each lightning bolt. Mia gasped. The cat turned and looked straight at her with emerald eyes that sparkled like stars.

"I'm Bolt," the cat said, and Mia nearly fell over. Cats didn't talk! "I'm practicing for the Big Game."

"What game?" Mia asked, stepping closer.

"The Sky Padel Championship!" Bolt purred. "We play on clouds made of thunder. Would you like to be my partner?"

Mia's heart raced. "But I'm terrible at padel."

"That's because you're trying too hard," Bolt said wisely. "Padel is about fun and friendship, not winning."

Bolt touched Mia's padel racket with his glowing paw. Suddenly, the racket hummed with gentle warmth. "Now you have my lightning magic. But use it wisely — it only works when you play with joy."

That night, they played among the stars. Mia swung the racket, and instead of worrying about missing, she laughed as the ball sailed through the clouds. Lightning bolts applauded in the background like twinkling fireworks.

When she returned home, Mia felt different. The next day, she played padel with her dad. She still missed some balls, but she smiled with every swing. Her dad noticed. "You're not worried about winning anymore, are you?"

"No," Mia said, grinning. "I have a secret friend who taught me that playing is about joy, not perfection."

Sometimes, when storms visit the sky, Mia still sees Bolt dancing among the lightning. And she knows that magic isn't about being perfect — it's about having fun and sharing it with friends.
