The Cat Who Befriended Starlight
Luna was no ordinary cat. While other cats chased mice and napped in sunbeams, Luna spent her nights perched on the windowsill, watching the sky with bright green eyes full of wonder.
One stormy evening, as lightning flashed across the dark sky like giant firecrackers, Luna saw something extraordinary. Between the bolts of lightning, a massive shape appeared in the clouds—a great bull made entirely of twinkling stars!
The star bull looked sad. His horns drooped, and his constellation eyes dimmed. Luna meowed softly, and to her surprise, the bull looked down. His voice rumbled like distant thunder.
"Hello, little cat. I am Taurus, the lonely bull. Only during lightning storms can anyone see me."
Luna's heart went out to him. She curled her tail and purred, "I see you, Taurus. And I think you're magnificent."
Every storm after that, Luna waited by the window. She and Taurus became the best of friends. She told him stories about her adventures chasing butterflies and climbing trees. He told her about dancing among the galaxies and racing comets.
"But I still wish I had a friend who could visit me in the sky," Taurus sighed one night.
Luna had an idea. During the next lightning storm, she made a wish upon each flash. "Take me to my friend! Take me to my friend!"
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck the windowsill. Luna didn't feel scared—she felt magical! When the light faded, she was floating in the night sky beside Taurus.
They played among the stars until dawn. Luna discovered that friendship isn't about being the same—it's about caring for each other, no matter how different you are.
Now, whenever children see lightning, they might spot a small cat dancing among the stars with her bull friend. And if they look closely, they'll see that friendship shines brighter than any lightning in the sky.
The end.
