The Cat Spy's Midnight Friend

Whiskers was no ordinary cat. While other cats napped in sunny windows, Whiskers wore a tiny black cap and practiced spy moves behind the sofa. He was a secret agent cat—or at least he pretended to be!

One moonlit night, Whiskers crept through the garden on his most important mission ever. Strange sounds had been coming from the old oak tree, and Agent Whiskers needed to investigate. His fluffy tail twitched with excitement as he spotted something scary-looking lurking in the shadows.

A groaning, green creature shambled near the garden fence. It looked just like a tiny zombie! Whiskers prepared to sprint away, but then he noticed something surprising. The creature wasn't trying to be scary. It was actually... crying?

Being a brave spy cat, Whiskers inched closer. "Hello?" he meowed softly.

The zombie-like creature looked up with big, sad eyes. "I'm Zed," he sniffled. "Everyone runs away from me because I look spooky, but I'm just lonely."

Whiskers noticed something else—a cable from the telephone pole was tangled around Zed's foot, trapping him. The poor creature had been stuck there for hours!

"Don't worry, Zed!" Whiskers declared. "Agent Whiskers will help you!"

Using his sharpest claws and sneakiest spy moves, Whiskers carefully freed Zed from the cable. Zed's scary green face lit up with the biggest, friendliest smile ever.

"Thank you!" Zed cheered. "You're the best friend ever!"

Whiskers learned something wonderful that night: sometimes the scariest-looking things just need a little help and a lot of friendship. And that night, Agent Whiskers completed his best mission ever—making a new friend.
