The Cat Spy and the Not-So-Spooky Zombie

Luna was a black cat with bright green eyes who loved to spy on the neighborhood. Every night, she'd sneak through fences and peek into windows, watching the world go by. She wasn't a naughty spy – just curious!

One Halloween night, Luna saw something strange. Old Mr. Green's garden had glowing spinach plants! The lightning from an earlier storm must have made them magical. Luna crept closer, her whiskers twitching with wonder.

Suddenly, something shuffled from behind the pumpkin patch. A zombie! Luna's fur stood up. But then she saw – it was just Mr. Green's grandson, Tommy, dressed up for Halloween, walking funny because his costume was too big!

"Rrr... brains..." Tommy joked, then laughed. "Gotcha, cat!"

Luna purred. She knew this boy. He gave her treats sometimes.

"Look at this spinach, Luna!" Tommy said. "Grandpa says lightning struck it. Now it's extra crunchy!"

He offered Luna a leaf. She sniffed it. Spinach wasn't her favorite, but this smelled like... adventure!

Suddenly, they heard crying. Little Mia had lost her Halloween bag! All her candy was gone.

"Don't worry," Tommy whispered. "We'll find it. You and me – we're spies now!"

Luna nodded. A cat spy and a zombie on a mission!

They followed the trail of candy wrappers through the dark. Luna used her cat eyes to see in the shadows. Tommy used his zombie walk to look scary, so no one would bother them.

There it was! Mia's bag was stuck in a tree. A squirrel had taken it!

Tommy reached up, but he wasn't tall enough. Luna knew what to do. She climbed the tree, her claws sharp and sure. She nudged the bag until it fell right into Tommy's arms.

Mia was so happy! She gave them both candy.

That night, Luna learned something important: even a small cat and a boy in a zombie costume can be heroes. And magical lightning spinach? Well, that just makes everything more exciting!

From then on, Luna, Tommy, and Mia became the best friendship team – always ready for their next adventure!
