The Cat's Golden Pyramid
Luna loved baseball more than anything. Every Saturday, she'd grab her favorite glove—the one her grandpa gave her—and run to the park. But this Saturday was different. As Luna rounded the bases during a home run, something extraordinary happened. Her baseball rolled behind the old oak tree and kept rolling... into what looked like a shimmering golden triangle that had suddenly appeared in the grass.
Luna followed the ball and gasped. It wasn't just a triangle—it was a tiny pyramid, glowing with rainbow light. Suddenly, a fluffy white cat with emerald eyes stepped out from behind the pyramid.
"You found my home!" the cat said. Luna stepped back in wonder.
"You can talk?"
"I'm Cleo, guardian of the Pyramid of Dreams," the cat purred. "Inside, every child's wishes become real. But I've lost the key. Your baseball rolled through the entrance and knocked it deep inside."
The pyramid was only as tall as Luna's knees, but when she peered through its crystal doorway, she saw an enormous room filled with floating stars and laughing children playing every game imaginable.
"I'll help you find it!" Luna promised.
Cleo smiled. "Brave and kind—the perfect combination."
Hand in paw with the magical cat, Luna stepped into the pyramid. Inside, they searched through mountains of candy-colored clouds and rivers of lemonade. Finally, Luna spotted something gleaming near a field of eternal baseball games.
"The key!" Cleo cheered.
But as Luna reached for it, she noticed another baseball—a lonely one sitting alone while others were played with joyfully.
"What about that one?" Luna asked. "It looks sad."
Cleo's emerald eyes sparkled. "That one belongs to someone who forgot the magic of play. The real key isn't gold—it's remembering to share joy with others."
Luna understood. She picked up the lonely baseball and tossed it gently. "Want to play?" she asked Cleo.
The pyramid flared with brilliant light. The golden key appeared in Luna's hand.
"You did it!" Cleo purred. "You unlocked the secret—the pyramid rewards kindness, not just cleverness."
That day, Luna learned that the best home runs aren't the ones that fly over fences, but the ones that bring friends together. And every Saturday after that, Luna and Cleo played baseball together, sharing magic and fun with everyone they met.
