The Bull With Rainbow Hair
Lily loved playing padel in her backyard. Every afternoon, she'd hit the bright blue ball against the wall, counting each bounce. One, two, three! But today, something magical happened.
As Lily's padel ball sailed over the fence, she heard a soft snort. Peeking through the wooden boards, she couldn't believe her eyes. A magnificent bull stood there, but not like any bull she'd seen in books. This bull had the most beautiful, flowing hair—long strands in every color of the rainbow, shimmering like silk in the sunlight.
"Hello there," Lily whispered, stepping through the gate.
The bull's gentle brown eyes twinkled. "Hello, young padel player. I'm Barnaby, and I've been watching your practice sessions."
Lily's eyes widened. "You can talk? And your hair... it's amazing!"
Barnaby chuckled. "My rainbow hair grows more beautiful with every act of kindness I witness. Would you like to see something magical?"
The bull lowered his giant head, and his rainbow hair began to glow. Suddenly, hundreds of tiny butterflies—each one a different color—fluttered up from his mane. They danced around Lily, leaving trails of sparkles in the air.
"Wow!" Lily gasped.
"These butterflies carry kindness wherever they go," Barnaby explained. "Would you like to help me spread joy today?"
Lily nodded eagerly. Together, they visited her neighbors. Mrs. Higgins received a blue butterfly that made her garden bloom instantly. Little Tommy got a yellow butterfly that turned his frown into giggles. Even grumpy Mr. Peterson smiled when a purple butterfly landed on his nose.
As the sun set, Barnaby's hair glowed brighter than ever. "Thank you, Lily. Your heart is as beautiful as my rainbow hair."
From that day on, Lily still loved padel, but she loved kindness even more. And sometimes, when she hit her ball just right, she'd see a flash of rainbow hair out of the corner of her eye, reminding her that the best magic comes from a kind heart.
