The Bull Who Touched the Sky
Young Lily had the wildest, curliest hair in all of Willowbrook Village. It bounced when she walked, and it sparkled in the sunlight like golden threads.
One windy afternoon, Lily's favorite red hat flew right off her head! It tumbled through the air and landed in the meadow where grumpy old Barnaby the bull was sleeping.
Barnaby wasn't really grumpy—he was just lonely. The other farm animals were too afraid to play with someone so big. But when Lily's hat landed on his nose, Barnaby opened one enormous eye and let out the friendliest snort anyone had ever heard.
Lily ran to retrieve her hat, but Barnaby gently nudged it back with his soft nose. His eyes held such kindness that Lily couldn't help but hug him right there in the clover.
That's when she noticed something magical—a shimmering cable stretched from Barnaby's horn all the way up to the clouds! It pulsed with rainbow light.
"Every night," Barnaby whispered, "I pull this cable and visit the Star Castle in the sky. The stars give me their special courage vitamin. But tonight... tonight I'm supposed to share it with a friend."
Lily's eyes widened. "Me?"
"You," Barnaby nodded. "Hold onto my hair—just the soft white patch between my horns."
Lily grabbed hold, and WHOOSH! They soared upward, the magical cable guiding them through swirls of purple and blue. In the Star Castle, a tiny star gave them each a glowing pill.
"This isn't any ordinary vitamin," the star twinkled. "It's a Friendship Vitamin. It makes your heart brave enough to love anyone—even someone who seems different at first."
That night, Lily and Barnaby flew back to Willowbrook, hand-in-hoof. And the next morning, when the villagers saw a little girl with wild hair riding on a gentle bull's back, they didn't laugh. They smiled.
Because true friendship, like magic, makes the impossible beautiful.
