The Bull Who Touched the Moon

Barnaby was the smallest bull in the herd, with the biggest dreams. While the other bulls snorted and stomped, Barnaby loved to lie beneath the ancient palm tree and watch the stars.

One magical evening, the full moon turned a brilliant orange, glowing like a giant vitamin pill dropped from the heavens. Barnaby had heard stories—that the Orange Moon granted one wish to whoever touched it.

"But I'm too small," Barnaby sighed.

The palm tree's leaves whispered in the wind. "Small does not mean weak, little one. The smallest waves move the biggest stones."

Barnaby's heart swelled. That night, when the other bulls slept, he began his climb. Step by step, he ascended the ancient palm tree, its trunk rough against his hooves. Higher and higher he climbed, until he could see the whole world below—oceans sparkling, cities twinkling like fallen stars.

Finally, Barnaby reached the very top. The Orange Moon was so close he could feel its warmth. But just as he stretched out his hoof, he heard a tiny cry.

A baby bird had fallen from its nest, trapped on a lower branch.

Barnaby looked at the moon. Then he looked at the bird. His mother had taught him that kindness always comes first.

He climbed down, cupped the frightened bird in his gentle hooves, and carried it back to its nest. The mother bird sang her gratitude, and Barnaby smiled.

But now the Orange Moon was setting. His wish would go ungranted.

Barnaby's eyes filled with tears. Then he felt something—warm drops falling on his nose. The Orange Moon was weeping too, its tears glowing like magical drops of liquid light.

Each drop transformed into something wonderful: flowers, butterflies, and one special glowing orange vitamin that landed right in Barnaby's fur.

"For your kindness," the moon seemed to whisper. "This will give you courage whenever you need it."

Barnaby touched the glowing vitamin, and warmth spread through his whole body. He realized something wonderful: he hadn't needed to touch the moon to become magical. He had been magical all along, simply by being kind.

The other bulls never believed Barnaby's story. But every night, when the moon rises, you can still see a small orange glow beside the ancient palm tree—a reminder that the smallest hearts often hold the biggest magic.
