The Bull Who Swam With Stars
Barnaby was a bull with a secret. While all the other bulls on Sunny Meadow Farm loved to graze and nap in the grass, Barnaby loved to stand near the sparkling **water** of Rainbow Creek and dream.
Every day, he watched the fish dart and the frogs leap. "I wish I could swim," he sighed, splashing his hoof in the shallow end.
"Why don't you?" asked a gentle voice from above.
Barnaby looked up. An old **palm** tree leaned over the creek, her fronds waving like green fingers in the breeze. "I'm Palmy," she said. "I've watched you wishing for three summers now."
"Bulls don't swim," Barnaby said sadly. "We're too heavy. We sink."
Palmy laughed, the sound like wind through leaves. "Oh, my dear friend. Did you know that inside every bull there's a star that wants to shine? And sometimes, stars need to learn **swimming** too."
That night, when the moon rose like a silver coin, Palmy called Barnaby back to the creek. But something magical had happened. The **water** now glowed with thousands of tiny lights, as if someone had sprinkled star dust across the surface.
"Tonight," Palmy whispered, "the creek is filled with magic. Try now."
Barnaby stepped into the glowing water. To his wonder, he didn't sink! Instead, he floated, weightless as a cloud. He kicked his legs and—zoom!—he was gliding through the starlight, leaving trails of silver wherever he went.
For hours, Barnaby swam with the stars, learning to dive like a fish and leap like a frog. When he finally climbed out, his fur sparkled with starlight that never faded.
The next morning, the other bulls gasped. Barnaby shone like he swallowed a piece of the moon!
"Teach us!" they all cried.
And so every night after that, Barnaby led his bull friends to Rainbow Creek, where Palmy the wise **palm** tree watched over them as they learned that anyone—even a heavy bull—can learn to dance among the stars.
The meadow bulls became the most famous bulls in the world, known for their midnight swimming parties where water and sky became one, and anyone who believed in magic could learn to fly, if only for a night.
