The Bull Who Made Friends at the Pyramid

Lily loved looking at stars through her bedroom window. One night, she spotted something amazing — the stars formed a great bull in the sky! Her papa had told her stories about the bull constellation, but she'd never really seen it until now.

The next morning at school, Lily's hair was messy from staying up too late stargazing. Her teacher Mrs. Patel noticed and asked why Lily looked so tired.

"I saw the bull in the stars!" Lily exclaimed. "He looked so lonely up there all by himself."

That afternoon, Lily had an idea. She took her mama's old iphone and used it to take pictures of the sky each night. She wanted to show the bull that someone down here was watching over him, that he had a friend.

But the bull still looked sad. Even all the other stars around him couldn't cheer him up.

Then Lily remembered something from her library book. The ancient pyramids in Egypt were built to align with the stars! Maybe the bull knew something about those magical places.

That night, Lily made a wish on the brightest star. "Please, Mr. Bull, show me where you belong."

In her dream, Lily found herself standing before a great golden pyramid. The bull stood beside her, his coat shining like starlight. He lowered his massive head and nudged her hand gently. His fur was softer than clouds.

"I've been waiting for a friend," the bull spoke in a voice like distant thunder. "For thousands of years, I watched over this pyramid. But the builders are gone, and I thought everyone had forgotten me."

Lily hugged the bull's neck. "I'll never forget you. You're my friend now."

The bull's eyes twinkled. "Then I will watch over you, little one. Every night when you look up, I'll be there."

Lily woke up with a smile. Outside her window, the bull constellation shone brighter than ever. He wasn't lonely anymore. He had a friend down on Earth, and she had a guardian in the sky.

From that night on, Lily made sure to wave goodnight to the bull before bed. And sometimes, if she looked very carefully, she could almost see him wink back.
