The Bull Who Made Friends
Lily loved her grandmother's garden, especially the patch where the green **spinach** grew tall and leafy. Every evening, she'd sit among the plants, reading stories about magical creatures. But she never expected to meet one.
One moonlit night, a great black **bull** with silver horns appeared at the garden gate. Lily trembled, but the bull's dark eyes were kind, not fierce. To her surprise, the creature bowed its head and gestured with its nose for her to follow.
"Are you... magical?" Lily whispered.
The bull nodded and led her through the garden, past the spinach and roses, to a hidden glade she'd never seen before. There, a sparkling blue **pool** glowed under the stars, its waters shimmering like liquid diamonds.
The bull stepped into the pool, and suddenly, he transformed! Before Lily stood a magnificent fairy bull with wings like moonbeams and a coat of midnight blue studded with tiny stars.
"I am Finn," the creature spoke in a voice like gentle chimes. "I have watched you, little one. You love my garden."
"You're the **spy**!" Lily laughed. "You've been watching me read!"
Finn chuckled. "I guard the magic that grows here. But I have been lonely for many years. Will you be my **friend**?"
Lily's heart swelled with joy. "Yes! Forever and always!"
From that night on, Lily and Finn shared wonderful adventures. They swam in the magical pool, planted enchanted spinach that glowed in the dark, and flew over the countryside on Finn's starry back. The other children in town thought Lily had the most wonderful imagination with her stories about the magical bull.
"The best magic," Finn told Lily one evening as they sat by the glowing pool, "is the magic of friendship. It makes even the most ordinary spinach patch extraordinary."
Lily hugged her friend's soft, starry nose. She knew he was right. Some magic was meant to be shared, and the best kind of magic was having a friend who saw you, truly saw you, and chose you anyway.
And every night, when other children slept, Lily would slip out to the garden, where her friend Finn waited, ready for another adventure under the stars.
