The Bull Who Loved to Swim

Barnaby was a bull with a big secret. While other bulls liked to run and chase butterflies, Barnaby loved watching water. He'd stand by the old farm pond, his golden-brown eyes wide as he watched the ducks glide across the surface.

One hot summer afternoon, something magical happened. A tiny goldfish with scales like sunrise leaped right out of the pond!

"You're the bull who watches us swim every day," said the goldfish, whose name was Glitter. "Why don't you join us?"

Barnaby sighed. "Bulls are too heavy. We sink like stones."

Glitter flipped her tail. "Not in my pool!"

With a splash, Glitter dove back into the water. But when she came up again, the pond had changed! It was glowing orange, like sunset captured in liquid form. Magical lily pads appeared, floating on the surface like stepping stones.

"This is a Magic Swimming Pool," Glitter explained. "Only kind hearts can enter. Are you kind, Barnaby?"

The bull thought about how he always shared his grass with the rabbits, and how he helped baby birds that fell from their nests.

"I try to be," he said softly.

"Then come swimming!" Glitter called.

Barnaby stepped onto the first lily pad. It held him! Step by step, he walked across the glowing orange water. When he reached the center, he did something no bull had ever done before.

He began swimming!

The magic water made him light as a feather. Barnaby kicked his powerful legs and zoomed through the orange pool like a torpedo. Glitter swam beside him, leaving trails of sparkles.

From that day on, Barnaby became the Swimming Bull. Every evening, he'd visit Glitter's magical pool. The other animals would watch in wonder as the massive bull glided through the orange water, the friend of a tiny goldfish.

Barnaby learned an important lesson: Sometimes, the things that seem impossible become possible when you have a good heart and a magical friend. And Glitter learned that even the biggest creatures can have the gentlest dreams.
