The Bull Who Loved Stars

Barnaby was not like other bulls. While they chased cows and stomped in dust, Barnaby loved to sit quietly by the old swimming pool behind the farm. The pool hadn't been used in years, but rainwater had filled it with crystal-clear water that reflected the sky like a giant mirror.

Every night, Barnaby would creep through the tall grass to peer into that magical pool. The water showed him something wonderful – stars! Hundreds of twinkling stars dancing on the surface, even when clouds covered the real sky.

One evening, a little girl named Lily discovered Barnaby at the pool's edge. Instead of running away, she sat beside him. "Are you fishing for stars?" she whispered.

Barnaby nodded his massive head. The water rippled as a tear splashed from his eye. He felt foolish – a bull who wanted to touch the stars.

Lily smiled and reached into the pool. With both hands, she scooped up some water and let it trickle through her fingers. "The stars aren't IN the water, silly bull. They're reflected IN it. That means they're already inside you, wanting to shine!"

Barnaby's eyes grew wide. He pawed at the earth, then looked at his reflection. For the first time, he saw something different – not just a farm bull, but a creature filled with starlight, courage, and dreams.

"Come back tomorrow," Lily said. "I'll teach you to find magic everywhere."

From that night on, Barnaby wasn't just a bull anymore. He became a friend who taught all the farm animals that magic exists in the most unexpected places – even in an old pool filled with rainwater and starlight.

And sometimes, if you visit that farm on a clear night, you can still see Barnaby by the water, no longer trying to catch the stars, but shining brightly alongside them, happy at last.
