The Bull Who Loved Starlight

Lily loved visiting her grandfather's farm. Every summer, she would help him feed the animals and listen to his stories under the stars. Her favorite was Barnaby, the gentle brown bull with horns like crescent moons.

One night, as Lily sat in the hayloft, she noticed something strange. The stars were twinkling brighter than usual. She pulled out her iPhone — her grandfather had given her an old one to play games on — and opened the star map app.

"Look, Barnaby!" she whispered to the bull below. "The stars are forming a pyramid shape!"

The bull lifted his head and let out a soft moo. To Lily's surprise, the pyramid of stars began to glow. One by one, starlight beams shot down from the sky, landing in the field and creating a shimmering pyramid made of pure light.

Lily climbed down from the hayloft. Barnaby the bull walked toward the glowing pyramid, his eyes filled with wonder. Lily followed, her iPhone in hand, ready to capture this magical moment.

As they stepped inside the light pyramid, everything changed. The field disappeared, replaced by a galaxy of swirling colors. Ancient stars whispered secrets of the universe, and Lily felt smaller than a grain of sand yet bigger than the whole world.

"You brought me here," a warm voice echoed. It was Barnaby — but his voice sounded like starlight itself. "Your heart is full of curiosity and kindness. These are the greatest treasures in the universe."

Lily realized something important. She had always thought her iPhone and games were the most exciting things. But magic like this — magic that came from wonder, friendship, and the beauty of the world — was something no screen could ever capture.

When the light pyramid faded, Lily was back in the field with Barnaby. She looked at her iPhone, then slipped it into her pocket. Some moments were too special for screens.

"Thank you, Barnaby," she whispered, hugging the bull's warm neck. "I'll remember this forever."

And she did. Every time she looked at the stars, she saw the pyramid of light and remembered: the real magic wasn't in her phone or in ancient artifacts. It was in friendship, wonder, and keeping your heart open to the impossible.
