The Bull Who Loved Starlight
Barnaby was no ordinary bull. While other bulls slept contentedly in their cozy barns, Barnaby had a secret. Every night, when the moon rose like a glowing silver coin, he would creep to the edge of the sparkling **water** that flowed through the meadow.
The water was magical—that much Barnaby knew. When he looked into its rippling surface, he didn't just see his own fuzzy reflection. He could see whole other worlds dancing there!
One starry evening, as Barnaby dipped his nose into the cool water, he noticed something peculiar. A tiny firefly was perched on a nearby cattail, watching him intently.
"Are you a **spy**?" Barnaby asked, trying to sound brave. The firefly twinkled with laughter.
"I'm Penny!" she buzzed. "And I'm not spying—I'm just curious about why the big gentle bull visits the water alone every night."
Barnaby sighed. "The other bulls don't understand. They say bulls should only care about grass and naps. But when I look in the water, I see mountains made of candy, clouds shaped like castles, and oceans of lemonade. I want to visit those places someday."
Penny's glow brightened. "Maybe you don't have to choose between being a regular bull and having adventures. Maybe you can be BOTH!"
From that night on, Barnaby wasn't lonely anymore. Penny became his adventure guide, lighting up paths through enchanted forests and showing him hidden treasures in the meadow. The other bulls soon noticed Barnaby's happy dances and joined in, discovering that imagination made everything more fun.
And sometimes, when children peek through their windows at night, they can still see them—a gentle bull, his firefly friend, and a whole herd of dreamers, making magic by the water's edge, where every ripple tells a story, and friendship is the greatest adventure of all.
