The Bull Who Loved Padel
Mateo was the smallest boy in his neighborhood, but he had the biggest dreams. Every night, he'd gaze at the stars and wave to his favorite constellation—the Great Bull, with its shining horns and twinkling eyes.
One sweltering afternoon, Mateo sat by the edge of the swimming pool, dangling his feet in the cool blue water. His friends were playing padel on the nearby court, laughing and calling his name. But Mateo didn't know how to play, and he was too shy to ask.
He sighed and reached into his pocket, pulling out a perfect orange. Just as he was about to peel it, something extraordinary happened. The orange began to glow—soft and golden, like tiny trapped sunshine.
"Make a wish!" whispered a voice behind him.
Mateo spun around. Standing there was not a boy, but a magnificent bull with a coat like starlight and horns that shimmered like moonbeams. It was the Great Bull, come down from the sky!
"I... I wish I could play padel like everyone else," Mateo stammered.
The Bull smiled—that's right, smiled! "Then grab your orange, my friend. We're going to make magic happen."
The Bull dipped his massive hoof into the pool. The water began to swirl, forming a perfect padel court right there on the surface! The glowing orange transformed into a magical padel racket in Mateo's hands.
"In my constellation," the Bull explained, "we play star-ball. But padel? That's a human game worth learning!"
For hours they played—boy and bull, splashing through the pool's enchanted court, hitting the glowing orange ball back and forth. Mateo discovered he was quick and clever. The Bull taught him that being small was actually a superpower—he could zip around the court like a shooting star!
"The real secret," the Bull said as they rested on the pool's edge, "isn't being the biggest or strongest. It's playing with your whole heart and helping others shine too."
When Mateo's friends saw him playing, their mouths dropped open. "Mateo! Can you teach us that move?" they called.
Mateo beamed. He wasn't just the boy who watched anymore. He was Mateo the padel player, Mateo the Bull's friend, Mateo who made magic happen.
That night, as Mateo looked up at the stars, the Great Bull winked back. And somewhere in the universe, a constellation smiled, knowing one small boy had found his courage—and his game.
