The Bull Who Loved Padel
Mateo walked past the sunny field every day, carrying his bright orange padel racket. In the middle of the field stood a giant black bull named Barnaby. Everyone said Barnaby was the grumpiest bull in all of España.
One Tuesday, something magical happened. Mateo accidentally hit his orange ball over the fence. Plop! It landed right near Barnaby's giant hooves.
"Oh no!" Mateo whispered. He watched, holding his breath.
Barnaby didn't stamp his horns. Instead, the bull gently nudged the bright orange ball with his nose. Then he did something amazing—Barnaby stood on his hind legs and hit the ball back with his front hooves!
"¿Did you just... play padel?" Mateo called out, amazed.
Barnaby nodded his huge head. From that day on, they became the best of friends. Every afternoon, Mateo would bring his orange racket and balls to the field. Barnaby would play against the fence, returning every shot with surprising grace.
The other children couldn't believe their eyes. "That bull can play padel better than my uncle!" laughed little Sofia.
One day, Barnaby even let Mateo ride on his broad back while they walked home together. The bull who everyone thought was grumpy turned out to be the kindest, most playful friend.
Mateo learned an important lesson that summer: Sometimes the most unexpected friends can bring the most joy. And in that sunny Spanish field, a boy and his bull proved that friendship comes in all shapes and sizes—especially when there's a padel ball involved.
