The Bull Who Loved Orange Stars
Lily was bored. It was another hot summer day, and she sat by the swimming pool in her backyard, dipping her feet in the cool blue water. She had finished reading all her books, and even her iPhone couldn't entertain her anymore.
That's when she heard something strange. A loud SNORT came from behind the orange tree in the corner of the garden.
Lily crept closer and couldn't believe her eyes. There stood a tiny bull—no bigger than a dog—with shimmering golden fur and enormous friendly eyes. But the most surprising thing was what he was doing: the little bull was juggling three oranges!
"Hello there!" Lily said softly, not wanting to scare him.
The bull dropped all three oranges and looked embarrassed. "Oh dear," he said in a deep, rumbly voice. "I'm Barnaby, and I was practicing for the Great Talent Show in the Magic Realm. But I keep dropping them."
Lily giggled. "I can help you practice! But why oranges?"
Barnaby's eyes twinkled. "These aren't just any oranges. They're Star Oranges from the Moon Pool, and each one contains a special vitamin that gives magical powers! One orange gives courage, one gives kindness, and one gives creativity."
He explained that he needed to perform perfectly at the talent show to prove that even a bull could be graceful and talented. The winner would receive enough magical vitamin dust to keep the Moon Pool glowing for another hundred years.
Lily's eyes widened. "That's amazing! Let's practice together."
For the rest of the afternoon, Lily and Barnaby practiced. She used her iPhone to play music while he junted, spun, and danced with the oranges. Barnaby taught Lily a special secret: every time she felt scared or nervous, she should squeeze an orange peel and breathe in its sunny scent. It was like a vitamin for bravery!
When the sun began to set, Barnaby had to return to the Magic Realm. Before leaving, he handed Lily one of the magical oranges.
"For helping me," Barnaby said with a bow. "Whenever you need courage or a friend, just remember the orange-scented breeze."
Lily watched as Barnaby trotted toward the pool and disappeared in a sparkle of golden light. She peeled her orange, and the sweet citrus scent filled the air. She knew that with a little courage and good friends, even a bull could learn to juggle—and even a bored summer day could become magical.
